Warranty Policy –

Cordless Clippers  - Shear Magic clippers (models: Tuffy 3800, Tuffy 5000, Tuffy 5-in-1) are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing faults.
Lithium-Ion batteries are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults.

Corded clippers  - Shear Magic clippers (models: Stallion, Gun, Nifty) are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing faults.

Trimmers  - Shear Magic trimmer (models: Rocket 4500) are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing faults.


Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear on parts (e.g., lever, latch, hinge, nameplate, bearings, housing, blades).
  • Repairs or disassembly attempted by anyone other than an authorised service centre.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or dropping.
  • Any alterations made to the unit.
  • Damage caused by blade coolants or other chemicals.
  • Damage resulting from shipping or transit.

When sending a product for warranty repair:

  • Include proof of purchase.
  • Include a note of what you are experiencing
  • Check our Troubleshooting Guide first to ensure the issue is not easily resolved.

Important:

  • Products over 6 months old and up to 1 or 2 years old: Warranty parts will be replaced, but if the product shows significant use, a service charge may apply.
  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:
    • A replacement or refund for a major failure.
    • Repair or replacement if the goods fail to meet acceptable quality and the failure is not major.

Postage:

  • Inbound postage is paid by the customer.
  • Return postage is covered for all warranty repairs.
  • Blades will be sharpened during repairs for a nominal charge, as dull blades are the most common cause of poor performance.

How to Return Your Product

If maintenance or warranty service is required:

  • Call 02 4624 8950 or visit www.botanybayimports.com.au for a list of repairers.
  • Ensure the following when returning your product:
    • Postage is prepaid.
    • Use sturdy packaging to prevent transit damage (not covered by warranty).
    • Include your name, address, and proof of purchase.
    • Provide a detailed description of the fault.
    • Send the blades separately, not attached to the clipper, to avoid damage in transit.
